Rental Car Insurance & Security Deposits
Insurance coverage and security deposit requirements can differ between vehicles. Review the conditions shown for the car you choose and ask us about anything that is unclear before confirming.
Check the Cover for Your Car
The vehicle page lists the insurance information provided for that car. Read what is covered, any exclusions, the driver requirements and any excess or deductible that may apply.
Do not assume that a description such as “full insurance” means every type of damage or use is covered. The specific conditions for the selected vehicle apply.
A Security Deposit Is Separate From the Rental Price
Each vehicle has its own individual security-deposit amount, shown on the car page and separately in the booking details. This deposit is separate from the rental price and the booking prepayment.
Pay the vehicle’s security deposit directly to the rental partner in cash when you collect the car. The deposit is returned to you in cash at vehicle return, in accordance with the agreed rental conditions.
How You Can Provide the Deposit
The security deposit is paid in cash at pickup. It is not included in the online booking prepayment and is not an additional rental charge. Check the exact vehicle-specific amount before confirming.
Keep the cash security deposit separate from the remaining rental balance: both are paid at collection, but only the security deposit is returned in cash when the car is returned.
If an Incident Happens
Contact the rental contact and follow the incident-reporting instructions in your agreement promptly. Follow any requirements to notify the insurer or relevant authorities, and keep the documents requested for the claim.
